Happy Hat Day!

🎓Hat Day 🥳 on Thursday, August 21st for $1.00 to support our amazing Alexandria Community Center and their work with our Tigers!

We will be conducting our first semester bus evacuation drill tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19 after school. This will cause the school buses to run approximately 10 minutes late taking students home.

What an amazing week at Alexandria-Monroe Elementary School! Our students continue to impress us every day with their hard work, creativity, and Tiger spirit!

🐅Our AMES Tiger TROT-A-THON is coming soon! We can't wait to see our Tigers participating in this exciting event and winning amazing prizes! Be sure to turn in your form. If you need another form, please let your child's teacher know. Let's go, Tigers!

Congratulations to Mr. Morgan’s class for showing outstanding effort in the cafeteria and proudly following our Tiger Pledge! They enjoyed a delicious reward outside today!
Also, a big shoutout to Mrs. Darcie’s class and Miss West’s class for their amazing cafeteria behavior as well—they earned popsicles for their efforts too! 🐯👏

Our little learners had a blast exploring letters, reading books, acting out the story, following directions, and, of course, laughing, painting, dancing, and singing! 😀 We’re so lucky to have Mrs. Goodman leading the way! She brought so much energy and joy to her prek classroom in her very first week! Here’s to an awesome start and many more magical moments ahead! 🐯

It was wonderful to see so many of our families at The Tiger Food Pantry this evening! We’re always grateful for the opportunity to serve our community. A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers for their time, energy, and dedication!

A big THANK YOU to our amazing teachers and Mr. Hosier for reviewing our Tiger Roar procedures and the Tiger Pledge! 🐯 It was a great reminder to kick off the year—helping everyone stay on track with expectations and learn all the ways we can earn those Tiger Bucks!

There will be a Tiger Food Pantry on Wednesday, August 13th at the elementary school. Food distribution will begin at 4:00PM under the car canopy.

Happy Friday! Our students were already showing amazing collaboration and problem-solving skills across multiple grade levels! It was inspiring to see them thinking critically, working together, and giving it their all! Way to go, Tigers! 🐅

Mrs. Johnson’s second grade class had a bright idea to make reading even more fun, Flashlight Reading Friday! Students cozied up with their favorite books, turning off the lights and turning up the excitement for reading. What a fun way to end the week!

We loved seeing everyone enjoy recess fun, lunchtime giggles, special greetings in the hallways, and all the exciting activities that make school such a special place. ❤️ 🐯 Check out these snapshots of our students playing, learning, and just being awesome! Here’s to a fantastic second day and an even better year ahead!

Sun + Fun = Solar S’mores! Miss Couch's fifth-grade class turned sunlight into a sweet treat, constructing a solar oven to whip up delicious s'mores and showcasing their critical thinking and collaboration skills. 😀

Outstanding team effort! Mrs. Harden's third-grade class demonstrated remarkable collaboration, team planning, communication, strategizing, and problem-solving skills with their team today. Way to go, Tigers!
