Mission Book Drop! We are so thankful for our amazing students and families! To help keep our Tigers reading all summer long, we have dropped off FREE books around Alexandria! Here are some clues to help you find the books hidden around town. Happy Reading, Tigers! 📖 We also look forward to seeing you at the Book Mobile this summer for FREE books and popsicles! Have a wonderful summer, Tigers!

Miss Couch’s 5th grade class combined math, creativity, and teamwork in a hands-on building project! Students designed and constructed structures using precise measurements, then created scaled blueprints with accurate labels for length, width, and height. They also reflected in writing on the importance of their building in a town and the challenges they overcame during the process. We are so proud of their problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking skills!

Mrs. Bauer’s students were inspired by the Artemis 2 mission and their reading curriculum to take a deeper dive into our Solar System! Each of the students picked their own topic to research and presented to classes about their new learning. Thank you to Mrs. Bauer and her class for teaching us more about our solar system, astronauts, and even tacos in space!

Spelling Bee in 2nd Grade! 🐝

What a beautiful day for our Alexandria Monroe Elementary Tigers in Pre-K through 2nd grade! ☀️Our students had an amazing Field Day filled with games, popsicles, inflatables, puppies, laughter, and even a picnic outside with friends. It was a day full of smiles, memories, and so much fun all in one place!
A huge THANK YOU to our incredible special area teachers, staff, and parent volunteers for all of the hard work, planning, and support that made today such a success for our students. We truly appreciate everyone who helped make this special day possible. Special thanks to our PTO for the wonderful Field Day shirts

Amazing Field Day for Grades 3-6!

FunFest 2026 was incredible tonight! It was wonderful to see so many of our students and families enjoying time together while playing games, visiting the bounce houses, checking out our amazing raffles, and enjoying delicious treats from the food trucks. Events like this remind us how special our school community truly is. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and helped make this event such a success for our students and families!

Congratulations to these two artists for designing our AMES 2025-2026 yearbook covers!

Parents and Guardians,
We need your help to make our annual FUN Fest a success. FUN Fest is scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2026.
We need help filling time slots for over 15 games and activities to make everything run smoothly for our students. If you volunteer for a time slot, you will receive one FREE bracelet for your child to use at FUN Fest.
Here is the sign up form: https://forms.gle/4DjCGL8ey51jhc4g9
Thank you so much for supporting our students and helping make this a fun and memorable event for everyone!

Our 4th graders in Mrs. McClish’s class became the teachers throughout the week! These students researched and presented on topics they were passionate about while teaching their classmates just like real educators. From squishies, animals, and dinosaurs…OH MY! There are so many creative topics and engaging lessons shared throughout the classroom. Students even planned activities connected to their topics and thought carefully about how they would know if their classmates truly understood what they were teaching. The classroom was filled with curiosity, collaboration, and LOTS of great questions from classmates to their “teachers!” 👏

We can’t wait for our AMES Fun Fest! 😀 We are looking for volunteers to help make this event a success on Friday, May 15th. Your support truly makes a difference, and we appreciate any time you can give. As a thank you, each volunteer will receive one free bracelet for their student to use that evening. This is limited to one bracelet per parent. If both parents volunteer, your family will receive two bracelets. We are also continuing to collect donations so our Tigers and their families can earn fun prizes during Fun Fest. Thank you for helping us create a fun experience for our school community!

We are excited to host the Scholastic Book Fair this week for our Tigers! Our eWallet option is up and running, making it easy and convenient for students to shop without cash. Students will have the opportunity to visit the book fair during their scheduled library time. We can’t wait to see our students explore new books and grow their love of reading!

Something similar (or exactly like) this: Today our Alexandria Tigers participated in the Indiana Children’s Folk Dance Festival for the very fist time! Our participating students worked hard preparing 13 dances from 10 different countries from around the world. They performed along side several other school with over 150 students total. We are so proud of their hard work and how they represented our school at this exciting event!

This guy is the ONLY second grader to remember what a CI (Continuous Improvement) round meant when they visited the Advanced Manufacturing class as part of the manufacturing lesson in Design Studio. Nice job, Nikolai!!
