Come save money on a new mattress, bedding supplies, and accessories — all while supporting the AMJSHS Choir, Band, and Theater programs! Important Update: The showroom has been moved to the AMJSHS Auxiliary Gym, and the sale will close at 4:00 PM due to incoming weather. We hope to see you there!

This week, we continued celebrating our Students of the Month! We are so proud of these students for their hard work, positive attitudes, and commitment to following our Tiger Pledge. We enjoyed celebrating with special lunches and recognizing their accomplishments. A big shout-out to our students who are doing a fantastic job on the morning announcements!










We were thankful to have our high school athletes over to read and learn with us! Looking forward to our next Tiger Readers! Make sure to turn in your forms on Tuesday, tomorrow, this week!!








Congratulations to our AMES Students of the Month! Today we kicked off our lunch celebrations for Studentsof the Month with games, fun, and ring pops! These students are being recognized for following the Tiger Pledge and showing positive choices each day. We will continue celebrating more students on Monday. We are so proud of our Tigers! 🐅

Join us at the high school auditorium for the performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM. We can’t wait to see our students shine on stage and hope to see you there!

We're pleased to share that Mr. Josh Blanton has been approved as the next Athletic Director for the Alexandria Community School Corporation.
Josh brings a strong and well-rounded background that will continue to serve our school community well. His experience as a coach, athletic trainer, and leader in multiple athletic department administrative roles will be a tremendous asset as he works closely with our students, coaches, teachers, and support staff.
A 2012 graduate of Alexandria High School, Josh earned his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Ball State University and his Master of Science in Sports Management from Northern Illinois University. He has more than eight years of experience working with student-athletes at the junior/senior high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.
Please join us in congratulating Josh and welcoming him into this new role. He is excited to continue supporting our student-athletes and collaborating with our staff to strengthen and grow our athletic programs.

Here are just a few of the amazing students who earned Tiger Bucks on Friday. Their smiles say it all! These students showed responsibility, respect, and readiness to learn, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.

On Friday, our students and staff reviewed our Tiger ROAR and Tiger Pledge expectations alongside Mr. Hosier. A special thank you to Mr. Hosier for leading meaningful conversations and helping us reflect on what it means to be a Tiger. 🐅 We are so proud of our students for asking thoughtful questions and showing a strong commitment to our school expectations. Way to go, Alexandria Tigers!

Our high school Tiger Readers were back in action today! They enjoyed reading stories, chatting with the kids, completing challenges, and even learning a thing or two!!








Smiles, giggles, jokes, and just talking with friends made preschool and kindergarten lunch extra special today. It was so nice to join them and stop several times to hear their wonderful jokes, especially the ones about chickens crossing the road. They truly have so many wonderful things to say! 😊









It was wonderful to see many families at our IREAD 2 and IREAD 3 Family Night! Thank you to our parents for your strong partnership and continued support of student learning. A special thank you to our second grade teachers, third grade teachers, and our Title I staff for creating engaging, interactive stations for our families. We are excited to see our Tigers continue to grow! 📖📚🐅









Happy Holidays! Congratulations to our AMES Second Grade Students and Teachers for winning the December Hallway Contest! The creativity, teamwork, and care put into every display made our school feel especially warm and festive this season. Thank you to our wonderful staff for celebrating their students and creating such a joyful experience for our school community. We are truly grateful for our incredible students and dedicated staff!

☃️The Kindergarten and First Grade Holiday Program will take place on Tuesday, December 16, at 6:30 PM. Doors will open at 6:10.

☃️Mission Book Drop: We'll be dropping off free books around Alexandria and posting clues on Friday!
☃️Winter Break begins December 20 through January 4.

Our Tiger Readers today shared Christmas stories and helped solve some problems!!









Singing, Smiles, and Santa Claus! Our Pre-K students did an excellent job during their Holiday Program this afternoon! They sang with so much enthusiasm and joy, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. ❤️ Thank you to our families for being a part of this holiday program. A special shout-out to Mrs. Goodman, Miss French, Miss Kristi, and Mrs. Brown for all of their hard work in making today’s program such a success! Santa even made a special visit to see our little tigers!🐯
