We will be conducting our spring school bus evacuation drill after school on Tuesday, April 28. This will result in the buses being 5 to 10 minutes late bringing their students home.

Mrs. Sarno’s third grade students took their learning beyond the classroom and into the sunshine! After studying the attributes of quadrilaterals, students headed outside with sidewalk chalk to create their own shapes. This hands on learning experience allowed students to apply their skills in a fun, meaningful way by combining math, creativity, and movement.
What a wonderful evening celebrating the incredible educators in our community at the 12th Annual Max Beigh Enriching Education Awards! A special shoutout to Mrs. Angela Langlie- Lesnik, our amazing music teacher at Alexandria Monroe Elementary. From Pre-K through 6th grade, she inspires a love of music in every student she teaches. 🎶 Mrs. L’s positivity is contagious. She brings out the very best in our students and our staff while making music engaging, exciting, and fun. From choir and theater to concerts and even square dancing, she creates opportunities for students to explore new cultures, try new things, and shine with confidence. Thanks, Mrs. L!

MCAA Multiplication Madness!
We loved spending time in music class with Mrs. L and Miss Benson’s Kindergarten class. Students were singing, dancing, following directions, and expressing themselves through movement with scarves. The smiles on their faces say it all! 😀
We are so excited about the Multiplication Championship of Alexandria All Stars (MCAA)! "Multiplication Madness” is happening tomorrow, and students are ready to show off their multiplication skills. Students have even been challenging Mr. Hosier, our assistant principal, who has also been competing with the multiplication champions! We can’t wait to see who our new champions will be tomorrow.
We had a chance to celebrate with our second grade students who passed IREAD 2 this afternoon. We are so proud of their hard work!

Our AMES PTO is hosting a fun fundraiser to support upcoming special events for our students! Students will have the opportunity to sell trash bags and cookie dough, perfect items to stock up on while supporting a great cause!Every purchase makes a difference. There will be a Tiger Food Pantry tomorrow, Wednesday, April 8 at the elementary school. The ffod will be distributed in the cafeteria. The doors will open at 4:00 PM.

Bus 26 (north Harrison) will be running approximately 20 minutes late today, Tuesday, April 7.
A big thank you to Miss Van Hook and Mr. Fleck, along with our outstanding band and choir students, for an incredible recruitment concert this afternoon! 🎶 Today’s performance showcased the amazing talents of our students from 7th through 12th grade and gave our younger students a glimpse of the exciting opportunities that await them in band and choir. Way to go, Tigers!
On Friday, Mrs. Etchison’s class had a very special guest hop by to say hello! 🐰The excitement was contagious as a surprise bunny rabbit visited the classroom, bringing smiles and laughter from our students. Special thank you to our guest!
